Some may ask, why choose the name “Polytechnic”? Is it an attempt to find a name with historical resonance? My answer is always that it expresses a conviction that the era we live in requires a different understanding of the role of education.
Historically, “Polytechnic” has been associated with the concept of combining science with application, knowledge with practice, and what an individual learns with their professional journey. Today, however, it acquires a new meaning. The world no longer needs merely a specialist who knows a specific field, but rather a human being capable of combining knowledge, adaptability, and the capacity to navigate change.
In an era of rapid change, the value of human is no longer defined by what they know, rather it is their ability to use what they know to develop themselves, and transforming an idea into implementation, going from challenges to solutions.
Accordingly, Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global Digital Polytechnic (TAG Polytechnic) has emerged with a vision that transcends the concept of training for a specific profession. As professions constantly evolve, some jobs we recognize today may change tomorrow, with the ability to learn, analyze, innovate, and utilize modern tools remaining among the most vital human capabilities.
I have always answered questions with absolute conviction that the learner in this age should not be a mere passive recipient of information, but rather a true partner in the constructive process. The real value of education emerges when an individual becomes capable of confronting a real problem, seeking solutions, and utilizing available tools to produce tangible results.
For this noble purpose, TAG Polytechnic programs focus on a different concept of achievement, where the goal is not just for learners to complete an educational phase, but to graduates equipped with capabilities they can actively employ in their practical and professional lives.
In other words, we seek to provide an environment that enables learners to acquire skills rooted in practical reality rather than only theoretical concepts, engaging with technology as a tool for production and creativity, developing critical thinking, analysis, and decision-making, transforming ideas into applicable projects and solutions, and gaining confidence to venture into a job market that transcends geographical boundaries.
The mission of TAG Polytechnic is different. It does not consider a degree as the endpoint, but rather as one of the tools that help an individual prove their competence. True value does not stem from the degree a learner receives, but from what they are capable of building with it.
I firmly believe that true success for any educational institution is never measured by the number of people who pass through its facilities or programs; rather it is measured by what those knowledge recipients achieve afterward, projects they launched, real-life problems they address, and the added value they bring to their communities.
From this perspective, TAG Polytechnic was founded to assist individuals in acquiring the tools that empower them to become active contributors in their societies. Ultimately, the goal is to prepare a generation capable of turning knowledge into business, and business into impact.
