Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Research Center (TAGRC)
Introduction
The TAGRC is an independent research institute and located in Amman, Jordan TAGRC was founded in November 2007 by Dr Talal Abu Ghazaleh, who realized that in a world of rapid political, social and economic change, it is important to pursue politically neutral and academically sound research about the Arab Region countries and disseminate the knowledge obtained as widely as possible. The TAGRC seeks to provide a better understanding of the challenges and prospects of the Arab Region countries.
The TAGCB has leveraged Jordan's diverse talents and resources by establishing The Talal Abu Ghazaleh Business-Research Center at the Talal Abu Ghazaleh College of Business and collaborating with other University units on joint research initiatives elsewhere or on campus.
Collectively, this research center will contribute new knowledge across a broad spectrum of academia, promote intellectual synergy and cross-disciplinary cooperation among faculty and enrich the student experience by providing opportunities to interact and learn from peers and faculty in other disciplines.
The breadth and depth of business-related research covers a wide range of functional and geographical subject areas.
Other research at the TAGRC will focus on entrepreneurship, environmental management, emerging and transition economies, business innovation, technology, private-equity finance and financial markets.

Mission Statement:
The TAGRC is committed to making knowledge available for all. The Center aims to enrich and foster academic and intellectual understanding of the political, economic, security, social, educational and environmental issues relevant to the Arab region through objective research.
In order to facilitate reforms in the region and secure a better future for its citizens, the Center also promotes communication, collaboration and dialogue using its media, education provider, and information dissemination and consultancy services. The Center is also devoted to facilitating dialogue among scholars specialized in Arab and International Business affairs, both within and outside the region.
Who Are We
The Talal Abu Ghazaleh Research Center is an independent Unit. The TAGCB provides and interprets the economic information needed by Industries, Business, Government and Nonprofit Organizations, as well as users of such information throughout the Region.
The TAGCB s maintains databases on numerous topics such as income, employment, taxes, and sectors of the economy, education, demographics and a host of other economic indicators for Jordan and the Region.. In addition, the Center conducts original research to generate needed information when existing is are not available or sufficient.
The TAGRC serves the whole Region from its offices in Amman.
TAGCB research staff work with clients to define research objectives and will then prepare a proposal for the work to be conducted. These commissioned studies are conducted on a fee-for-service basis, with fees covering the cost of staff time, materials and so on. Specific outputs of clients commissioned research will depend on the nature of clients project and may include written reports, presentations, data files or training programs or others.
Objectives:
TAGRC was established to achieve the following main objectives:
1. Conducting objective and scholarly research bearing on political, economic, social and security issues, as they relate to the Arab Region and the World states
2. Promoting communication and cooperation among Arab citizens, along with propagating information about the Arab Region and the International scene, through a series of conferences and workshops the TAGRC holds and hosts.
3. Publishing and disseminating relevant and useful information and data .
4. Interacting with and answering the needs and requirements of individuals and/or corporate organizations, including Arab and International nationals and expatriates, university students, academics, the press community, businessmen, and decision-makers.
