AMMAN-------- February 24, 2011 -------- A delegation representing Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Society (TAG-Knowledge) and the Arab Society of Certified Accountants, (ASCA), Jordan met with the President of Al-Isra University, Dr. Nouman Al-Khatib.
The meeting discussed prospects of cooperation in the field of holding specialized training courses for the university students, especially the graduates, to enhance their skills and knowledge and qualify them for the labor market.
The delegation provided a presentation of the professional certificates and the preparatory courses to obtain the Arab Certified Public Accountant (ACPA), the Islamic Finance Certificate, (CIMA) and the Jordanian Certified Public Accountant (JCPA).
Dr. Al-Khatib welcomed and commended the proposed ideas, especially providing diversified training courses that enhance students' capabilities and constitute an added value to them in their professional careers after graduation.
Dr. Al-Khatib thanked ASCA Jordan for providing Al-Isra University with fifty specialized professional references.
It was agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding in the field of accounting, management consulting, training, marketing, information technology, translation and project management.
It was also agreed to hold basic training courses for university graduates to introduce the certificate of Arab Certified Public Accountant "JCPA".
Mr. Tareq Hammad, executive director of TAG-Knowledge, and Mr. Fahem Al Musa ASCA's executive director commended the cooperation of the University President, Dr. Al-Khatib and expressed their readiness to cooperate in the fields of education and training courses, emphasizing their commitment towards the society specially students.
